This is me! I’m with Andres in Guatemala. (From some people’s reaction, you’d think I were Ben Ladin’s successor!)
Whoa! That was creepy!
I was handing out invitations at a park to our Miracle Healing Crusade. Somebody cut me with biting words: “I don’t believe in that nonsense! You’d better not hand those out to the kids. Mine are playing here.” (I wasn’t giving them to kids.)
From his harshness,
you’d think I was passing out the first hit. For corruption of minors, I would soon be arrested. The First Amendment had been suspended. The reaction of some makes you feel like Mara Salvatrucha. “Steer clear of that man, Johnny! That’s a bad man!”
Has American come to this?
(Admittedly, Santa Monica and West L.A. are extremely liberal and anti-God.) It used to be that the

Maybe what people don’t like is that Christianity is a straight and narrow path. Photos thanks to First Touch Earth.
Christians were the good people on earth! Now, are we the evil ones?
My pastor was healed of leukemia a few years back. If you don’t think we’re the scum of the earth, you’re welcome to come to the Santa Monica Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Nov.10. It’s worth a shot, especially if you’re terminal or chronic. The “nonsense” might work. You’d be surprised.
If you think we’re Hitler, forgive us.
Yes, traditional Christians are now the enemy of the militant socialist state and those that are educated by it. We Christians have been here before and the Lord has told us that we would be here again.
God help us!
Amen to that!!
Thanks for the support!
Its sad how freedom of speech often only applies to those creating pornography or the like. I see Christian views squashed often.
But as Jesus said,
“Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.” John 15:20
Your words of encouragement are very uplifting! Thank you!
Your welcome… I admire what you do and your courage in serving The Lord.
may God give me courage! and to you too! for whatever your service is to Him…
Christians have to expect persecution. Look on history our Saviour was persecuted because he was perfect!
Thanks for the encouragement! Your name means wisdom. so that means the words of Wisdom are words of wisdom.
I am a graduate of conservative baptist seminary, a once missionary to Africa and once upon a time a public speaker on resolving personal and spiritual conflicts. I did the last term of my graduate work in Israel.
My impression from studying history is that Christians have never been the good guys. We have always been persecuted.
That’s why I think what you do is do beautiful. You go against the grain inspite of your experiences like that in this story.
Thank you. Continue I pray, to BE the light you already are. Blessings – Sheri
It sounds like you have been around the Christian block! Thanks for the encouragement!
We shouldn’t be surprised. Matthew 24 warns us
I guess I’m not surprised. But I do wish to make these virulent atheists think!
I think we do! After all, we are the aroma of Christ….. 🙂
good good good!
I don’t think that the public opinion of Christians is going to get any better. Would you mind asking for healing for Bethany at these meetings?
Gladly. I wil pray for Bethany. God heal this lady in Jesus name, amen.
Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you’ll continue to enjoy it. And what you’re doing is noble so don’t let the negativity get to you.
Yes amen! It’s amazing how we are accused of being negative and yet the very people who accuse us of being negative are themselves very negative.

keep “win”-ing!
Hi
It doesn’t matter what others think. satan will always see to it that Christians look bad to the lost–he is good at his job… Just remember that we need to win others for Christ and be careful and not enter into confrontation-LOVE and then offer the other cheek. May all who are around be touched by your witness. Take care.
Love is the trump card! Yes, may we show love always!
I love LA – don’t give up on them! I’ve also been healed many times, and I still enjoy seeing the jaws drop and God get the glory when it’s shared. Keep up the Lord’s work 🙂
Amen
There were many people angry at god, because he allowed 9/11 to happen.HERE.NEAR! I spoke for 60 hours a week to thousands of Americans since 9/11 who suffer from PTSD( because of the attack,in New York, on 9/11) I heard the rants!! Many lives were affected.. In many peoples eyes this was A Holy War”). People did NOT want a god in their lives any longer,Our faith and hope in god and religion has been targeted as well! Many a sheep have wandered away. There are so many people that do not understand,”that earth is the devil’s domain”! I believe that this one incident has caused masses of people to turn their back on god and religion. This manifestation reminds me of the Patty Hurst syndrome. I am going to predict that these people will …in time…turn to the religion of the people who attacked us.Not out of belief, but out of fear of the enemy.Yes, Satan is very good at what he does.I pray that eyes are opened and ears will hear the truth. The gift of discernment is available to all.The enemy took our loved ones from us,please don’t let him have your soul. Many Blessings are sent your wayn Reverend Darcy
an ominous specter. i have pondered the possibility…
Thanks for your visit. Belief is, can be personal and individual. Acceptance of differences and tolerance are also wonderful gifts to share.
We are all differently-able.
It is not whether Christians per se are persecuted, I have studied the Bible formally in a seminary here in India and I remain a practicing Hindu. My understanding is this: in the realm of personal living, any true life of Faith in ANY major religion in the world demands a change in life-choices and an active effort to transcend one’s own limited beliefs. And that is where, evil comes in. There IS evil and that affects our efforts to change. I understand that this blog and the other posters have a belief in the unique redeeming power of Jesus Christ. I agree to the other posters to this extent: within their paradigms of lived faith, indeed they might feel marginalized. But then a brilliant three volume work on the historical Jesus is named The Marginal Jew! Maranatha, to all those who read this blog.
The key to representing God, Christ has to be, simply, being REAL. Beyond the words, the ideas, the books, the services, the dialogues, the doctrines. If your God is real, and your walk with him is real, then His power and the advancement of His kingdom will be real also – regardless of what is accused, challenged or disregarded. I LOVE reading your posts, Mike. Blessings.
