I posted a challenge to the existentialists. No one every responded. Maybe they don’t think I exist.
When I posted a challenge to the atheists, they responded with fury. They are a jolly group of friends, nice guys, all of them.
I have discovered that WordPress is a great place to make friends. I am impressed by the sincerity of people. Y’all are so heartfelt.
One of the things I enjoy with friends is sharing coffee. The Native Americans smoked the peace pipe. Some people share a beer. I savor coffee. It’s my way of bonding, a ritual for communicating how much I value the person.
Throughout 2012, I have had some wonderful conversations with you blogger friends. We have shared in struggles and triumphs, joys and depressions. But I’m afraid inviting you to coffee in Santa Monica would be seen as creepy, so have a coffee in wherever you are to friendship!
Thank you!
Thanks! π I will!
I am a Christian who LOVES coffee and Santa Monica, and who will happily chat with anyone. Sadly, I live in Maine right now or I’d be asking you for your address. If you are ever in Maine, dial me up! Xoxo
Is there any place farther away? Hmmmmm… Cheers!
I will have a cup of coffee and think of your wonderful blog!
God bless you and your family.
Praise the Lord!
I loooved coffee too..
π
Coffee, I don’t care when or where, coffee is always right on time. π
amen!
how do you do the little smiley face?
yumm a nice hot cup of fresh brewed coffee, a good friend to chat and pray with…true blessings for sure!
amen!
Where I live it is 11 degrees, a half inch of ice everywhere with a dusting of snow on top – and walking is a delicate dance. Santa Monica sounds not at all creepy.
I would be glad to host everyone here, but I doubt you’d want to come. I wouldn’t!
I think we should arrange a flash mob in SM at Mike’s school! Anyone in?! (just kidding – don’t want to get creepy!) LOL
Hahahahahahahahahahaaha! The flash mob is welcome!
I no longer have any right to complain about it being cold here!
Jeepers! That sounds really coooooooold. yours, Mike
I’m sort of a coffee rookie I guess you can say. I just started drinking it about 6 months ago… and I love it with french vanilla creamer!!! Just the basic stuff- nothing fancy and I haven’t ventured to the ever-addicting Starbucks! Your photos prompted me to get up make a fresh cup! I just got home from work, kicked my feet up and after a busy day at work (911 dispatcher) this is just what I needed to combat this 30 degree weather in Florida! Cheers and Merry Christmas!
30 DEGREES!!! Ouch!
Guess I should stop complaining here in Santa Monica about the cold. You’ld say it’s warm.
What’s wrong with creepy!? as long as there’s coffee, I don’t mind… π
Santa Monica!
Merry Christmas and thanks for the coffee.
We might be flying in from Japan in late January, and if we do, I think we have an 8-10 hr layover at LAX. I’d be MORE than happy to take you up on that cuppa joe!
If I’m free (from teaching), it’s on me!

Thanks for your like on my post. Got to say that I am not at all religious, and find your blog quite strange. Money and faith? What about the money-lenders being cast out of the Temple? Anyway, I bear no ill will and wish you good luck, and a Happy Christmas. Pete, England.
That’s a very good point! But you may discern that while faith and PROFITS contradict but faith and JUST MAKING RENT TO KEEP THE CHURCH OPEN do not contradict. Have a coffee — or a tea — for me!
I’m all about the coffee. Coffee and toast – I could exist on those two things. Ok … coffee, toast, and love β€
(absolutely adore the pictures of coffee you have here, thanks!)
Hope you have a Merry Christmas! I’ve only had coffee a couple times, but I still have had it, so I know it’s good π
Hey, Mike…do you have an e-mail? Your prayer request e-mail above doesn’t work. Planned to send a photo of my husband and me toasting all with our coffee cups, but don’t think comments allows that. In lieu of flash mob and mass exodus to Santa Monica.

I want the flash mob!
How about hot cocoa accompanied by a fish and grits brunch? Lol E-greetings from South Carolina. You and your family have a blessed Christmas!
Sounds good! Which way to South Carolina?
I’ll think of you when I have my morning ambrosia tomorrow π
yeah, too late to down one now! I wouldn’t sleep!
