Nobody escapes it. Each has his own struggle.
This one struggles with money. That one struggles with addiction. He has no self-esteem. She is losing her marriage. Injustice stalks us all; don’t think anyone leads a charmed life.
But if the common denominator is struggle, there are too many options for numerators. He masks pain with rash behavior, abandonment to hedonism. She locks into power struggles, putting down others to plop herself on top.
I pray. I avoid the self-destructive “remedies.” And pointless one-upping.
It seems the vast majority go everywhere except the Answer. I go to God, the answer. Call to me and I will answer you — Jer. 33:3a NIV. Despair not your struggles; everybody has them. Just go to the Answer.
Yes, he is the answer…in fact, as I type I’m seeking him again…Thank goodness, he plans for us to continue to need him. I’m thankful he never tires of us.
Yours was the title. God has given you a gift to express yourself and help people!
And so I call…
Extremely good point. I find time and time again that people gain perspective when they realize they aren’t the only one struggling.
Yes, right on!
This is my response too..now. Sometimes I regret the years when I turned to everything and everyone else but He redeems even that. He is good and He is always the answer.
God is good!
Thank God that with time, maturity and practice we learn to go to Him first.
