This is so true for so many! We’re always lonely with that “God-shaped hole” Pascal talked about empty.
God shaped hole
wow that’s good
was that Pascal’s?
I ask myself that all the time…..It truly is the God-shaped hole we try to fill with relationships a-plenty or stuff…lots and lots of stuff. Sigh..when will we learn? Thankfully, He is as near as a whispered prayer every day.
Thanks for sharing this!! Makes one think.
You got it! That is the aim: to get people to think. Hopefully, all the lonely people on the planet will discover their need for Jesus!
Amen!
hmm.. interesting.. =)
😀
made me think actually.. =)
it is astonishing how much loneliness there is on this planet
yeah.. exactly.. even the richest of the richest gets lonely too..
sometimes, the richest are also the loneliest
because many “friends” are only looking to take advantage of them
sad. but true.. we can only hope and pray the friends we have now are present for all the right reasons.. =)
😀
According to the Law of Attraction, we attract more of what we feel. So, if a person already feels loney, then they will attract more loneliness. Loneliness can lead to desperation and neediness which attracts the same kind of people into ones life. That is why people have abusive significant others, friends who take advantage of them and all types of other dysfunctional things occuring to them. I do not feel lonely even though I have no spouse, boyfriend, pets, roommates, or whatever people have to keep themselves from feeling lonely. I like and love who I am and enjoy my own company. Too, I am never alone because I have seven angels around me, God watching over me, and the abundance of the universe blessing me. So the next time you feel lonely, let it go and think of all the great things that you already have and thank God for them. Then ask the universe to bless you with the abundance of love. Amazing how it works!
Thanks for the comment! God bless you!
Being lonely and alone is a quiet different thing,. 🙂 sometimes I feel this way thanks to Jesus for reminding me for times like this He is with me.. 🙂
😀
Mommy feels this at times. I try to make her better 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
God bless your Mommy!
Thank you and God bless you my friends! XOXO – Bacon
😀
How come you are lonely, Father?
No, it’s a reflection to make people think. I have felt great loneliness in my life. I know what it is to go through. I am trying to resonate with so many people hurting in this world and prompt gently that they turn to Christ, the lover of their souls. Thanks for asking. And I’m not a Catholic father, but rather an evangelical pastor.
Thank you for responding, Pastor. One should never be lonely when Jesus give us Joy. Blessings to you and yours.
😀
Without God, we are always lonely.
yes.
why can’t I “like” ur blog?
I don’t have “like” turned on. People have given me feedback that they are distracting – when it comes to poetry.
oh
However, many people “Like” my posts through the reader.
Satan’s been throwing this at me a lot lately. With the things that contribute to loneliness like discouragement, negativity from others (including loved ones), among other things. Whatever’s building up is SHUT DOWN with gratitude to God for blessing me with what I do have/what I have been given – a new life, a new mind and a new heart (which are constantly being renewed and toughened day by day, although outwardly I’m “wasting away,” thanks Paul!)
