  1. Yes, loving the unlovable is much more challenging BUT also much more rewarding with a break-through. I do this at the store. Smile at someone WHO looks like they want to bite my head off. Nine out of ten times, they ultimately smile back. Those who insist on their foul mood leave your presence with something to think about. This was a GOOD one! πŸ™‚

  2. I just wrote a similar article this week! KIndness is ALWAYS the better way!

  3. Tough challenge. But do-able.

  4. Hard, but worth it in the long run. Also closely related to forgiveness, and “not repaying evil for evil.” Thanks for sharing!

  5. So hard to do, yet so Christ-like.

  6. I had a chance to do this today, and instead of being so annoyed that I had to deal with this fake person, I was glad to follow the advice on this image. πŸ˜€

  7. Always good to see what you have to offer and blessings to you!

  8. What a wonderful challenge! I have done this and I can say, this is a seriously fun thing to do. It feels good straight away (to me, when you feel good doing something like this, it is God smiling in your soul).

Sometimes you see the reward for the other person, too, and a defensiveness drops away. At that moment, something bigger is happening, and it is wonderful to experience.

    Joy to all! πŸ™‚

  9. The universe is giving me this message. Trying… it is hard… it is all about compassion. And when you are sick and worn out, it seems so hard to do… not to the grouches but to the drunks and the mean-spirited. That is my particular challenge.

  10. The old expression, “kill them with kindness” is just another version of “turning the other cheek.” Jesus (or God) would want us to be nice to everyone. The “nasty” people may be just having a hard day and need that special smile and kind word you give! Great idea for a post!

  11. Love this!! I teach school…I can relate!! Ha!
