Apathy is not the answer

apathy

Turning off your emotions, just because you’ve been disillusioned, solves nothing. We are emotional beings. To try to NOT feel is probably not going to work. There are those who grow bitter, who grow cynical, who numb the pain with drugs, alcohol or another form of hedonism.

Only Jesus will heal your heart.

Which side of the tapestry

life tapestryIf you look at the backside, there’s a mess of loose threads, and you can’t make anything out. But if you look at the front side, the picture can be so astounding that you could understand why nobility paid a small fortune to hang them in their castles.

Many times, we’re on the backside of the tapestry. God is weaving, but we can’t make anything out. Not until many years later do we see the beauty emerge, when we get on the other side of the tapestry.

Thomas Alba Edison failed 1,000 time before hitting on tungsten as the ideal filament, with a vacuum in the bulb, for the incandescent light that sparked the electrical revolution.

Failure is a part of life. Good thing we have the unfathomable riches of God’s grace to cover our personal failures (our sin).

As the waves wash the shore, so God’s grace continually refreshes, renews and restores.
