The reason we give gifts at Christmas

Jesus was God’s gift to mankind. When we give each other gifts, we celebrate that Jesus was a gift and that salvation (forgiveness of sins) is a free gift to any who would receive.

I suspect there are many people giving and receiving gifts, celebrating Christmas, without knowing anything more than it is a family tradition. Little do they realize they are honoring Christ and proclaiming salvation.

  1. Furthermore, our salvation is deliverance from the power of sin! The sin-producer was crucified with Christ! As First John 5:18 tells us, “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” So “count yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 6:11). God with us, indeed!

  2. Merry Christmas to you and your family and friends. God truly, and willingly gave the gift of gifts. I pray we all will recognize and receive that gift and really know the true meaning of Christmas. ❤

  3. Beautiful post….
Merry Christmas and all my best wishes to you. Aquileana 🎄
