Hey Dad! If you had a superpower, which one would you want?
I HAVE a superpower. It’s called FAITH.
My 10-year-old son was not impressed. He wanted to know if I would fly, or fix things with a magic touch, or superhero type stuff. He asks random questions.
If it weren’t for his question, I wouldn’t have realized exactly what I have. Yes, yes, yes! It is a superpower because faith connects you with the only nonfictional power outside of nature.
What WOULD you have? You DO have! Do you use it? Do I use it enough?
I think my super powers are faith and humor.
nice! humor is important!
Well, I’m not saying I wouldn’t take flying or bending space and time as a super power should the opportunity present itself… But yeah, faith is the strongest power we have. Faith accomplishes so much by such seemingly small means. Faith is both simple and complicated at the same time. The more I learn about faith the more astounded I am at both the goodness and complexity of God.
Nice phrase: “faith is both simple and complicated at the same time.”
I agree with you – Faith would by my super power of choice. Its faith that propels one to keep going through the greatest challenges – what ever it is for you – natural disasters, divorces, impossible schedules at work, etc. Faith (to me) is steadfastly/stubbornly/irrefutabley believing and knowing the impossible is possible and will happen. Faith in God, faith in one’s abilities, faith in fate – what ever it is, you gotta have Faith to get through life successfully in my view
beautiful expression: “faith is steadfastly/stubbornly/irrefutably believing and knowing the impossible is possible”
I’ve had a super power all this time and I didn’t even know it?? Better late than never though. Great post!
see ya round, Superman!
Oh, YEAH!!!

There is no power stronger than LOVE.
That is good!
Tell him to forget those super’heroes’, they’re just men in stretch lycra suits. Ours is Yahshua.
He loves Jesus!
Faith from the Greek word “pistis” i.e. the credibility of Christ, reliance upon Christ for salvation who urges us to follow a system of religious truth itself. The Son Of God, The Almighty Creator of the universe who offers us eternal life reaches far beyond super power. What could be FASTER then the speed of light except the One who created light!
wow, that’s good. i may have to add it to the post… i hope you dont mind?
Thank you for the blog visit…Hope you enjoyed the read…
good spirit to your blog
Faith *is* power. It’s so true. I don’t know how I’d get through life without it. Also, thank you for stopping by my blog. It means the world to me.
Awesome!
This is so cool ^^ Faith connects us with the only nonfictional power outside of nature! Very very well said. I’m not really fond of children, but sometimes their innocence just brings about new perspectives. Thank you to you and your son!
